Canada and the Province of Ontario welcomes you...

The "Where in the World" themed Par-Tay is in full swing over at The Outlawz, and I really hope all you crafty peeps have your creative juices flowing by now!
Hopefully you have been over to the site to see all the fun stuff we have planned for you, our wonderful members.
Let me tell you a bit about where I live......I reside in the beautiful Province of Ontario, Canada.
It is such a beautiful province and we are known primarily for our rolling hills topography, maple trees/maple syrup, and thousands upon thousands of lakes just to name a few things.
We are affectionately referred to as the Land of Lakes, and to give you some perspective as to the size of Ontario well let's just say we border our American friends in 8 States, incorporate all 5 Great Lakes, and it takes approximately 28 hours or 2,095 kilometers to travel clear across it in an east/west direction.
Now what comes along with thousands of lakes is the good ole Canadian Beaver. So my card/project for the “Where in the World” Twisted Thursday challenge depicts a few of the things we Canadian’s from the Province of Ontario are synonymous for….

I found this cute little Canadian beaver image on the internet under ClipArt. It is created by Lee Hansen at PasticheFamily Portal. After reading the terms of use, I can’t sell or give away this little card if I choose to use the image. But that’s ok because I will just put it to good use in one of my own personal Canada Day scrapbook pages, which apparently is OK to do.

I printed the image out on Neenah card-stock, coloured it up with my Copic markers in the traditional red and white Canadian flag colours. I carried that colour theme into the papers as well, a few maple leaves here and there and that’s it!
Have you ever felt more welcomed??? Seriously though, you won’t see one of these little fellas waving our flag when you cross our borders, but don’t let that stop you from planning a vacation to our vast, diverse and friendly beautiful country some time soon.
Thanks for stopping by :)S
