To A Man In Motion...

Hello friends and crafty peeps alike.
Well it’s been almost three weeks since I posted about the loss of my sweet Lucy, and I must say that I am still relatively numb inside.

I am pretty much like a zombie, just going through the motions of everyday life, but with each passing day I find myself crying less and less. I am grateful that it is this time of the year because my gardens have been keeping me busy and my mind otherwise occupied. They seem to be a source of comfort in some ways.
I would also like to thank those of you that took the time to leave me a comment. Your kind words felt like genuine hugs during the initial stages of my grieving.
Now lets move on to a lighter subject...
I received an email telling me that the Summer edition of Through the Classroom Door Magazine is out, and it made me think that I should get back to some form of craftiness.

So, to kick start me in that direction I thought I would post one of two cards that I had made for the past Spring issue.
They are both masculine birthday cards, and I made them for two pretty awesome guys in my life. One being my husband and the other one my awesome nephew Kyle.
Both are sports enthusiasts, so I made each of their cards with that theme in mind.
Today I will show you the card I made for my husband, who just so happens to be a Dallas Cowboys Fan. I definitely enjoyed making this one for him.

The image is from “Dude Time Doodles”.

Isn't this fella seriously scary mean looking?

I would hate to meet him in a dark alley that's for sure!

I coloured the image using my Copic Markers, and for that shine I used some glossy accents on his helmet, teeth, bone, and shoes.

Copic Colours Used:
Helmet - C00, 01, 02, 03   B32, 34
Jersey - BG 10 C00, 01     B32, 34
Pants – C00, 01   BG10, 000 0000
Shoes / Band-Aid / Bone – W00, 01,   BG000
Skin – E0000, 000, 00, 11, 13

A dear friend made the football with her cameo, and I used some Copics to add some definition to it. The papers are from my stash.

So there you have it, one of two cards that I want to share, tomorrow I will show you the other one I made for my nephew.

Thanks for stopping in, it felt good to be here.
:)S
