Guest Designer...

Hello crafty peeps; it’s me again with another post.
Not only am I here to share another card with you, but I also want to share the reason why I am.
As you know I recently had to step down from two amazing Design Teams due to health issues, and now only design cards for
On January 29, 2013 I designed a card for a TTCRD challenge where our sponsor was Nicecrane Designs.
Shortly following that challenge post I was approached by the sponsor and asked if I would like to join his design team. I was completely flattered at the request, however I had to explain the reasons why I couldn't accept the very generous offer.
Nicecrane then sweetened the pot so to speak, and allowed me the opportunity to be a guest designer from time to time as my health situation dictates. Basically, the structure is that I can pick any image that I like, and create a project whenever I am feeling up to it.
Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it?
Having complete freedom from DT responsibilities, no specific themes to follow, and no deadlines was just too hard to refuse.
So, today I would like to share with you what I hope will be one of many Guest Designer cards that I've made using Nicecrane Designs; Creative Peter Rabbit DSL

This collection just needed to be created into something other than your basic card, so I combined parts of two separate images to create this little garden scene.

Now, I am sure you have already noticed that I’ve stepped out of my box and made a step card (no pun intended). I’ve seen so many of these around blog land and have never tried one before.

My girlie friend Patricia St. Martin of Rubber Stamping is my Game is my amazing mentor when it comes to storybook cards, and you should definitely drop by her blog to see what I am talking about!!

I coloured all the images with my Copic Markers, fussy cut and displayed a few of them as if they were hiding in a little garden.

The grass and flowers were created using two separate Memory Box die cuts. The DP is from DCWV Linen Closet Stack and basic SU cardstock.

Copic Colours Used:
Rabbits – E21, 30, 55 and W00, 01, 03
Book - W00, 01, 03
Mug – BG 72, 75 and W03

There you have it, my first step card and my first Nicecrane Designs Guest Designer contribution.

I’d like to thank Ignacio Molina for giving me the opportunity to work with his images and for giving me carte blanche or the freedom to create on my own schedule.

I will be entering my card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by :)S
