Hello there
my wonderful crafty peeps!
Man oh man;
I can’t believe another two weeks has passed since my last Through the Classroom Door Challenge Blog post.
I look at
it this way; at least we are two weeks closer to getting rid of all these heavy
winter clothes and boots. I tell yeah though, it sure can’t come soon enough
for Moi!!!
So, on to
our challenge….this week our sponsor is none other than the very talented
MayzyArt has some of the most adorable and
trendy digital images out there. Funny enough I needed a “trendy” image for my
nephew’s past birthday card and was lucky enough to be able to showcase
I actually picked
this image for very personal reasons. My oldest nephew who is from Calgary,
Alberta came to live with my husband and I this past September so he could
attend our local University of Waterloo. There has
been many a day or night that I would find him sitting in this exact position on
our living room couch doing this exact same thing. On top of that he actually looks
a little like this young fella too. So needless to say I just had to have this
awesome digital image for his 18th birthday card. Thank you Mayzy!
A closer view...
I must
mention to you too that the backpack did not come with the image. The reason why I added it is
there is twofold; this fella looked like he should be leaning up against something and my nephew is rarely without one. I found this clipart image online.
I printed the image on to Neenah card stock and coloured it up with my Copic markers. The papers are from my stash and I used an EK Success border punch as well as a black Viva Décor Pearl Pen. Given the fact that it is a total “guy” card there is never any bling, just a little glossy accents on the runners and of course his phone!
Copic Colours Used:
Jeans – B93, 95, 97, 99
Runners – W00, 01, 02 B29
Shirt – C04, 05, 07, R17,
YR07, 09 Y35
Hair – E50, 53, 55, 57
