How do you like my ride?...

Well happy Twisted Thursday to all you Outlawz members and crafty peeps alike!

It’s that time again, and we have a new twist for this week’s Anything Goes challenge for you.
It’s all about “Wheels”

Now I’ve had this little image kicking around in my stamped/printed stash that I’ve been waiting to use, and this challenge has given me the perfect opportunity to do so.

There is also one particular person that I have in mind to give it to as well. It is her rubber stamp that used and she just happens to be near and dear to my heart. I just want to remind her of that fact, therefore I have used one of my fav friendship sentiments.

Now, it is a pretty basic card again this week as I didn’t have a lot of Copic colouring to do…I should do this more often cuz I am a lot faster at making them, LOL J

I simply used my cool grey collection to give the shaded areas a little more depth and then gave it a colour pop with the flowers in the basket. I followed up with some flocking and a dab here and there with various Spica twinkling pens.

Both the border punch and the flowers were made using Martha Stewart products. Add a little bit of ribbon and some Viva Décor Pearl pen dots in the corners and it  was finished.

But to me it is what is inside that counts...

This is a little rubber stamp from LOTV that I found simply irresistible, a must have if you will.
It is the exact way I view my friendships.
I couldn't have said it better myself, so I popped this inside the card and tomorrow it will be on it's way to my dear friend.

Thanks for stopping by again this week, and I must say thank you again for all the wonderful and kind comments that you leave for me. Please know that each one is cherished and has warmed my heart, for I appreciate your time more than you will ever know.

I hope to see you and your creations again this week.
Take care :)S

Flowers & Rhinestones...

Hello there crafty peeps, it’s another Twisted Thursday Anything Goes Challenge over at the Outlawz!

Thanks to all of you who joined us last week for our
“Be an Angel” twist. We had some very lovely cards submitted during that particular challenge, and I really must mention that my fellow DT members rocked the challenge as well. Their cards not only were inspiration but simply put…works of art!!!

This week our twist is an easy peasey one…

“Flowers and Rhinestones”

Here is my card…

I bought some Bugaboo images recently, and learned that if you sign up to receive their newsletter they will provide you with a monthly freebie. This was the September freebie and I think it’s gorgeous and very appropriate for this challenge.

It didn’t require a lot of Copic colouring this time so I spent most of my time on the layout instead.
I used my swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background mattes and two different sized Spellbinder circle dies for the actual image.

I mounted the smaller circle on top of the larger circle, and then used various embellishments; on the flowers I used MS Onyx glitter; diamond stickles here and there, clear mini round gems to define the smaller floating bubbles and then finally some rhinestones. The sentiment is from SU.

I am looking forward to seeing your creations, so get yourselves into that crafty spirit and I'll see you over at the Outlawz.

Thanks for stopping by :)S

Be an Angel will ya?...

Well happy Thursday to all you crafty peeps!
We are back again for another Outlawz Twisted Thursday Anything Goes challenge, and this week our twist is;
“Be an Angel”.

I must say I've been waiting to use this particular Mo's Digital Pencil image for a while, and I was pretty happy when I saw our twist this week.

So, here I am typing up this post when I popped over to Mo’s web site to get the exact name of the image. Low and behold I discover this little cutie patootie is actually a fairy!  Birthday Fairy Lee to be exact...Oops! So, let’s pretend for this week that she is actually a ballerina with angel wings, ok?

I printed Birthday Fairy Lee, I mean Angel, onto Neenah card-stock and then coloured her with my Copic Markers.

As for the paper, well I've decided to recycle some of the many  cards that I have received from my crafty friends over the years.
While purging my craft/office/den space to accommodate my Nephew I decided to try and give some of these cards a new lease on life.
I carefully disassembled one and redesigned it into this card. One of my faithful followers gave me this card a few years ago; do you know who you are?????
The papers were too beautiful to be just sitting in my sample card file, so I just wanted to bring them into the limelight again. I hope you don't mind :)

I used some stickles on the wings, my Martha Stewart punch for the flowers and then a touch of Viva Décor Cream Pearl pen for the flower centers.

A Quick Post...

Hey there crafty peeps!  I have a quick post to let you know that I am having a great week, and I would like to share the reasons why with you before my post on Thursday. Otherwise it would likely be one of my blah, blah, blah posts.

Firstly, a dear friend received some miraculous news about her ill health, in that the possible worst case scenario was not realized. Instead, I think she might just have an angel watching over her and I will just leave it at that. Don’t ever under estimate the power of prayer for God is great, and I thank him from the depth of my soul for this outcome.

Another great thing that happened within the last few days was, “Moi” was picked to design for a new challenge blog called “Eclectic Ellapu”.

Now it is a new site and will be up and running soon, which I think will be on or about October 14, 2012.
I submitted my name during the initial design team call because I thought the concept behind the blog as exceptional and unique.
I also felt that I was ready to take on a little bit more responsibility. There are two teams of DT’s and we create for challenges fortnightly, so I don’t anticipate that being problematic for me.

I will be on the PURPLE DT and am really looking forward to working with my new DT girlies. I will most certainly keep you in the loop as the date draws near with details as I receive them.

Lastly, but certainly not least…I won a challenge this week too, YAY! That random generator thingy picked
“Miss Clair Clown” as the winner over at

Apparently I’ve won some new digital images from the Doodle Pantry as my prize, and I am looking forward to adding their images to my ever growing collection.

So with that peeps I will bid you adieu and will hopefully see you back here for my Twisted Thursday post.
Oh, just to let you know I/we all survived “Frosh” week unscathed!
Thanks for stopping by JS

Ladies & Gentlemen, step right up....

Hello there crafty peeps!

I have had one heck of a week and just barely made my card in time for this week’s Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge.

My 17 year old nephew has moved in with us so he can attend a local University. It’s going to be a journey of firsts for all, as we did not have any children and he is far away from home for the first time in his life.

I am seriously considering banning and/or hiding movies such as Animal House, Dead Poet's Society, Good Will Hunting, Scent Of a Woman, American Pie, from the house, need I say more.
Anyway, on to my card…

This week our Anything Goes challenge has a “Circus” twist. The circus is a great theme because it is open to so much interpretation, so muster up those creative mojos and let’s see what you’ve got!

This is my  "Circus" interpretation…

Now I’m pretty certain that you must be shielding your eyes, or doning sunglasses due to my colour explosion, but to me the Circus means colour overload!!!!

This is a “A Day for Daisies” digital image called “Miss Clair Clown and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.

I printed the image onto Neenah cardstock and then coloured her up with my Copic markers. I chose to work with primary colours because you can make them bold or soft by just adding or removing one of the markers from the tone collection you are using. Plus children totally relate to them as well.

I also layered a few areas for additional depth. Have a closer look...

I love the layering because the images just seem to come alive as if they could just walk off the paper.

My layout is from Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, #162 which is perfect because it is basic. You all know me by now I'm sure not big on embellies, not to say that I don't like them!

Today I used a new Cuttlebug embossing folder (purple), scraps for everything else, EK Success border punch (which I coloured with copics so it matched) and lastly a wee button with bakers twine. The sentiment I found hanging around so I used it today...pretty simple!

The more I look at the card though I wish I had used a white matte behind the purple paper as it seems sort of lost without it. Oh well!

Anyway peeps, it's your turn to show us your interpretation and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by :)S
